This is the most self-indulging post. This band Gogol Bordello is coming to Minglewood Hall on April 8th. These are my country-men - Ukrainian Jews - and a self-described gypsy punk band. I really dig them and think you should check them out. However, I also believe that they are experts at performing the Eastern European identity, which goes along with the whole gypsy motif. Anyways, check it out and let me know what you think on Monday:
